About Me
Hi, I’m the human behind The Paperhound Online Bookshop — a little side project born out of my curiosity to build a website, as well as to reduce my sizeable personal library.
By day, I work in architecture and study psychology, but in the background of everything — always — is reading. I’m slowly building a small, intentional library of books that speak to me, comfort me and challenge me. For that reason, I started The Paperhound as a way to share the overflow of my existing library.
I call myself a bibliophilic existentialist — which is just a fancy way of saying I’m someone who loves books so much it actually makes me a little sad. Sad that there’ll never be enough time to read everything, to know everything, to fall in love with every story I come across. But there’s beauty in that too — in choosing carefully, in lingering, in letting go.
So this little shop is part curation, part catharsis. Every book you see here has passed through my hands and it’s here because I think it deserves another chance to be read, dog-eared, and loved again.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you find something that makes your shelf — and your soul — a little fuller.
Happy reading!
Angelique
